Link to course homepage

This short course is being held to promote and discuss the outcome of the ISPO (International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics) second international consensus conference on cerebral palsy. The meeting was held in September 2008 in Oxford, UK and attended by professionals from many countries and representing many professions.

The consensus report is being disseminated in many countries in a format that allows for talks outlining its contents followed by open discussions.

This short course will include many of the original authors and national representatives who work in the area and will be able to discuss the consensus outcome, their merits and how the recommendations can be implemented.

This short course will cover areas including:

  • surgery
  • medical management
  • therapy
  • orthoses and prostheses
  • seating
  • posture management

It will appeal to multidisciplinary teams involved in the management of CP.
