2009 Annual Evidence Update on Psoriatic Arthritis
During September NHS Evidence - musculoskeletal, conducted a literature search of PubMed, AMED, BNI, CINAHL, EMBASE, MEDLINE, and PsychINFO using the SIGN filter and the PubMed systematic review filter with limits of Human and English Language, 66 records for the year 2008 - 2009 were retrieved. After sifting these records, only 16 citations were deemed to be systematic reviews. These citations were then forwarded to our Clinical Lead, Dr Ray Armstrong, and Dr Philip Helliwell who found that many of the reviews were not particularly focused on psoriatic arthritis and that after examination, the material was felt to be insufficiently important to warrant an evidence update at present. Therefore, it was decided that NHS Evidence - musculoskeletal would not produce an Annual Evidence Update for 2009, but that the literature would be again reviewed in 2010.
