If you are not eligible for a personal account which will provide access from any internet enabled computer, it may be possible to access the resources at a local NHS library. Please ask the librarian for advice.
You cannot register for an OpenAthens account unless you have a current accessible email address. Please use your work email address where at all possible as this will help us verify your eligibility and locate you should the need arise. Contact your local NHS IT department if you require advice about your work email address.
An NHS Contacts (previously NHS net) account is acceptable. You can register for an NHS Contacts account online from an NHS net computer. The email address you use for registration will be used to keep you informed about your account.
You may contact your Regional Athens administrator if you have any eligibility or registration queries using the links below. Your local NHS library staff are also available to help you if you are experiencing difficulties, or require advice or training.
