2009 Annual Evidence Update on CAM for Low Back Pain
Published: 16 November 2009

Introduction
This annual evidence update on complementary and alternative medicine for low back pain aims to identify, organise and present the latest information on this topic. We have searched a large number of databases for studies published or updated between July 2008 and September 2009. Previously published studies have been included in the 2008 Annual Evidence Update on CAM for Low Back Pain or can be found by searching this collection.
This year's highlight is the NICE guideline on early management of persistent non-specific low back pain.
For more details about the search methods and the selection process please see the methodology section.
For further information on low back pain see also the relevant pages from the NHS Evidence - musculoskeletal and the NHS Evidence - trauma and orthopaedics specialist collections.
